MAJOR EDIT : I have included the Starting Level in Red, and it will be updated as the Party progresses. Starting Items have also been changed. Many altered Items have been bolded
In view there's been a few Changes along the way, this should help as a complete Update.
CHARACTER SHEET
Starting Level :13
Ability Scores : Point Buy (22 point)
Alignment : restricted to Lawful Good, Good, Unaligned on the Adventure Sheet. Actual Alignment may differ but DM to be informed on Character Creation.
Character Creation Notes
- Material from Anything published by WotC, including Dragon Magazine is acceptable.
- Themes are not allowed, although Backgrounds are.
- Mounts are not allowed, and no Mount-related combat feats are allowed.
- For purpose of the game, you do not have to keep track of mundane Ammunition, Provisions, Encumbrance, nor time since last Extended Rest for purpose of Fatigue
- All things (especially Dragon Magazine) subject to review. ie. You don't have to ask the DM before taking it, but depending on what comes up the DM may ask for more details and/or to change accordingly.
- Unbound Ruleset is available for use at unbound4e.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general
Races
- For Roleplaying Purposes, you are still restricted to following Races : Human, Dwarf, Elf, Half-Elf, Eladrin, Halfling, Dragonborn, Tiefling, Half-Orc
- Mechanically (on your Character Sheet), you can take any of the Races that are published
- However, you can take +2 Stats in any 2 Stats you wish if you're not a Human
- Humans can give up their extra Featslot and +1 to NADs to gain a +2 in any Stat other than the first +2
- All Races start with Low Light Vision and no Darkvision. This applies to "Drow" as well.
- Warforged Resilience to be replaced by following wording : "You have a +2 racial bonus to death saving throws and saving throws against ongoing damage."
Starting Consumables
- 1 Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds (Lv 10) per Character (for free).
- The Party will generally have opportunity to get Mundane Items, including consumables, ammo and magical containers
- The Party will generally not have chance to get Magical Consumables eg. Frost Whetstones etc
Equipment (for New Players only)
- You start with 1 Item of Starting-Level - 1, Starting Level, and Starting Level + 1. You can choose lower level items if you wish.
- You also start with Gold equal to an Item of your Level - 1.
- ie currently New Characters start at Level 13, then you would start with Level 12, Level 13, Level 14 Item and 13,000 Gp (the value of a Level 12 Item)
- In total, your Character may start with up to 5 magical items, including Alternative Rewards.
- Note that Alternative Rewards cannot be bought, cannot be sold, but can be awarded in the course of an Adventure.
- Your Character may have Max 1 Rare Item at any 1 Time
- No Items of 0 Gp value are allowed in the Game
- Your Character may not start with any Magical Container (eg. Bag of Holding)
- All Mundane items / Adventuring gear from all the Books are available
Custom Magic Items
- If you wish to have a Custom Magic Item, please run the idea by the DM and best is to provide supporting existing Items for Reference.
- this Item will be treated as a Rare Item.
- If approved, the DM will decide the "category" (Weapon, Armor, Neck, etc) and level.
- All such Custom Items are subject to "recall" or "revision" when deemed necessary.
- Each Character is limited to only One such requested Custom Magic Item. Custom Items awarded by the DM during the course of the Campaign does not count to this restriction.
Rules, Updates
- The latest rules updates from the WotC D&D website is in effect
- Note that all "Expertise" in PHB1-3 gives +2 at 11th level and +3 at 21st level, instead of 15th level and 25th level. This includes Versatile Expertise (PHB3)
- If not stated for an encounter, Enemies reduced to 0 HP are presumed killed
- if not stated for an encounter, any unconsumed Item that exchanges hands between 2 Party members during an encounter is assumed to return back to its original Owner (as per Char Sheet)
- Resurrection (Warpriest Lv 8 Daily) and Restore Life (Sentinel Lv 8 Daily) both take half the component cost of a normal Raise Dead
- XP Awarded will NOT be based on number of Kills / Creatures Defeated. Causing Enemies to flee count as well.
- Extra XP may be awarded for an Encounter well/efficiently dealt with.
