Remarks: A vampire knight who guarded the way to Kalarel. He was found to have entered Ravenloft as well and now a completely free willed vampire.


Name: Kalarel, aka Kalamari
Appearances: 4.3
Remarks: The main antagonist in Keep on the Shadowfell. He was bloodied by heroes and merged with the shadowy presence to try and guard the ritual circle and draw the heroes into the portal. Upon defeat, the shadowy form was drawn into the portal. When the heroes arrived at the ruins in the Shadowfell, they found Kalarel's dead body where they had first fought him.

Remarks: fortune teller, tarokka reader, leader of the Gypsy camp and maybe of hidden power.


Name: Ismarck Kolyana
Appearances: 5.3, 5.4
Remarks: Burgomeister (Sheriff/Mayor) of Barovia, a hulking 7' tall man of broad shoulders. Hearsay tells he is only in his mid or late 20s. Older brother of Ireena Kolyana.


Name: Ireena Kolyana
Appearances: 5.3, 5.4, 5.5
Remarks: Younger sister of Ismarck Kolyana and apparently a trained swordswoman. Based on rumors, she was found sleeping as a young child at the foot of the staff of Eraena before being adopted by Indivorich Kolyana. Her name is etched on the staff that protects the town with a hallowed presence, and the heroes found an elven brooch from long ago with a picture of Eraena, that bears a startling resemblance to her. On the night after the bat attack on Kolyana manor that led to Indirovich's death, she was bitten by a vampire and marked to become one if she dies.

Name: Doktor Karl Adiemus

Remarks: In-house "Sage" and Alchemist of Castle Ravenloft. He wears red robes with gold damascened along the edges. Apparently he is in charge of the library and constantly complains about not having enough budget for his "Books"


Name: Gunther von Zarovich
Appearances: 5.6
Remarks: Disregard pointy ears. The youngest brother of Strahd, a vampire, and also a well-versed healer and cleric of the Raven Queen. He appears about 30 years old has a rather square set jaw and is robed in white and black. He seems a rather resigned but otherwise helpful individual. After time away from the light shed by the Icon of Ravenloft, Gunther looks more like a human and less like a vampire.


Name: Katrina von Zarovich
Appearances: 6.3
Remarks: The younger sister of Strahd and said by Gunther to be the most dangerous occupant of the castle apart from Strahd himself. In the first meeting, she kept herself constantly shrouded in the shadows and used her powerful dominating gaze against those of the party that tried to state things against her will. However she was more pliable to the party hearing they were here to destroy Strahd, and even agreed to let them take little Tanya for a visit back to Barovia, so she would realize she could never go back to the life she had before.
