Downtime Activities may be added to this list as the campaign progresses.
Equipment Maintenance
Characters can spend downtime to work on their gear, ensuring that they are in top performance for the battles to come. If a character spends at least 3 days maintaining their gear, they get a single free reroll on an attack roll in the next session.
Ship Maintenance
Characters can spend downtime to maintain the ship, repairing damaged systems and sections. For every 3 days of downtime spent across the whole party, a single malfunctioning system is repaired. For every 5 days spent across the whole party, a failed system is repaired.
Recuperation
Characters may spend downtime days resting and recuperating from their injuries. Characters who spend at least 3 days resting gain 1/2 Reserve Value THP at the start of the next session.
Scan for Objects / Events of Interest
Characters may spend downtime days to attempt to scan for objects of interest with the scanning systems on board the ship. Each day of downtime spent this way reduces the DC of the check required to locate objects / events of interest, if they are present. The check may vary based on what the character is looking for.
Source for Rumours and Information
Requires: Party to be in a settlement
Characters may attempt to source for rumours and information during their downtime. For each downtime day spent this way, 15 IC will be spent in various miscellaneous expenses (Example: Drinks, Bribes etc). Each day spent will reduce the DC of the check required to source for rumours and information.
Establish Supply Line
Requires: Party to be in a settlement
Characters may spend downtime to establish a supply line, allowing the purchase of magical items as well as goods from H1-ND. Depending on the distance between H1-ND and the current location, the amount of days required may vary.
Replenishing the Ranks
Requires: Party to be in a settlement, Dead Companion
Characters may spend a downtime day to recruit / reacquire companions that have been killed, be it through the heat of battle or via any other means. Should this downtime activity be taken, a cost of 50 IC will be incurred as part of the various miscellaneous expenses required to obtain a replacement.
Crafting Equipment
Requires: Foundry Segment
Items and goods can be manufactured with the Foundry Segment, but they require materials and time. For each day spent crafting, up to 250IC worth of progress towards the manufacturing of a single item can be made. Multiple characters may collaborate to construct items quicker.
Distilling Remedies
Requires: Foundry Segment
Potions and Repair Oil may be distilled to increase their potency. However, the process significantly reduces the volume of dose, therefore multiple doses are required to create a distilled version. Only two batches of potions / oil may be distilled in a single day.
3 Potions / Oil -> Purified Potion / Oil (Restores 4d4 + 6HP)
3 Purified Potions / Oil -> Potent Potion / Oil (Restores 8d4 + 10HP)
Distilling Spiritstone Elixir
Requires: Foundry Segment
Spiritstones contain potent energies capable of bringing those on the brink back to the land of the living. They can be processed into an Elixir that when administered, instantly wakes an unconscious combatant without consuming a Reserve. A combatant awoken in this way is restored to 1HP. A single dose of Elixir requires 3 days to distil.
Tuning Ship Weaponry
Requires: Hacking Modifier of at least +5
Analysis of the weapon systems of the Cybelle by Phileas Phokth has revealed that the ship based weapon systems can be further calibrated and tuned. Characters that are skilled enough in Hacking can spend downtime days tuning the weaponry of the ship. For every 3 days spent by the party this way, the party may nominate the weapon systems in a ship sector to receive the benefit of one free reroll on an attack roll in the next session.
Decrypt STCs
STCs are valuable blueprints that contain technology either lost to the ages or otherwise hard to obtain. However, STCs are also heavily encrypted to prevent anyone from tampering with the code within. To decrypt an STC to reveal the contents of the STC before it is connected to a Foundry unit, a DC 30 Hacking Check is required, with each downtime day spent reducing the DC by 5 to a minimum of 15. Spending at least 3 downtime days this way guarantees some information will be gleamed, even on a failure.
