Convinces the Giovanni Prince to let him go since he is not truly Claudius' childe and because he has leads on the artifacts that Claudius lost.
4. Scrapes by next 150 years after Assamite attempt, with 33% then 50% and 50% chance of assassination attempt, and if two attempts come up will be auto-ash. Only hit by one attempt in the last 50year period ( 6 5 3 ), where 33% chance of auto-ash, and rolling mid difficulty is about as hard as Assamite. Ends up with easiest difficulty.

Philip subsequently becomes uncontactable.
Later investigation reveals though his purported ship arrived in Civitavecchia not long after, he never seemed to have arrived in Rome.
Sabbat contacts indicate the archbishop of Rome never received his presentation, and no kindred of any faction boasts of destroying one of the notable leaders of the Illuminati.
Even rituals performed by the Council aimed at discovering his whereabouts turn up nothing, beyond divining the facts that as a vampire, he is neither dead nor alive.
