I've got my grubby hands on the following Lair Assaults
1) Forge of the Dawn Titan* - Lv 5 2) Talon of Umberlee* - Lv 8 3) Attack of the Tyrant Claw* - Lv 6 4) Spiderkiller - Lv 9
* - map printed
Thinking of running it some time after my exams, NOT on the Saturday Night slot.
Anyone interested to play?
==================
Character Creation Rules If you start at Level X (see above), start with 3 magical items of Lv X-1, Lv X, Lv X+1. You also start with Gold equivalent to Lv X-1 to spend on any number of Magical Items (max 1 Rare) Only TWO can be Consumables, which must be of your Level or below.

Thanks For those who don't know it already, here's what Lair Assault is, in its own words. " Welcome to the DuNGEONS & DRAGONS LAIR ASSAULT program! You hold in your hands a booklet that contains an ultra-challenging encounter designed to be played in a single game session. Odds are the player characters will be annihilated, but that's part of the fun! Only the most clever and tactically proficient party has any hope of success. As the DM, not only is it your job to challenge the player characters but also to kill them outright-all in good fun, of course. (Make sure your players know that!) Don't play favorites or fudge die rolls. The encounter is difficult enough that you can let the dice fall where they may. " May also run it early Next Week, if folks are free, Monday night... badly need to de-stress.

Tentative Date set is next Wednesday night 1930 hrs at ACSI Transport provided back to the East. So far Merlvyn, Shaun, Andy. Tentative is Jeth, Ronald (as Spectator for now). Lair Assault to be... The Talon of Umberlee !Synopsis : To Enter the Pirates' Den on an island and retrieve a Stolen Artifact - the Talon of Umberlee. Character Creation Rules as per above, all WotC material allowed including Themes & Background Special : For Talon of Umberlee, you can perform Level 8 or Below Rituals (that the Party must already know) at No Component Cost. These Rituals should be on the Character Sheet of at least some Character.

Yes WotC Character Creation Rules, and Yes anything published by WotC for D&D 4E works. I don't mind trying some Unbound Rules after that in some sense, just to see the Power Discrepancy. But I'm sure with Character Themes (good ones), the slant will still be in WotC's favor. That and there's probably not enough time.

As a note when picking Items and other considerations :
All Lair Assaults have no Short Rests between. This means that you won't be able to recharge your Encounter Powers. Hence when evaluating Items etc, you can treat Encounter Powers as Daily Powers.

As a Note :
Because the DM is out for blood in Lair Assault, there are typically certain Party Roles that are more likely to be targeted, and hence more likely to be killed (sooner).
Players who prefer specific Roles may wish to take note and if necessary, discuss with other Players to rotate Roles / Characters.
