For those who have been playing with me as DM for a while, you know that I rule that Sneak Attack dice, Warlock Curse dice, Horned Helm, Vanguard Weapon etc bonus Dice damage are NOT maximised during a Critical Hit. Power Strike is also not maximised unless you declare it "early" before you make your Attack roll.
Just to clarify, after checking against Rules Compendium, a few experienced DMs and Players, etc, I think that it is quite clear under the usual 4E Rules, these extra Damage dice Should in fact, be Maximised.
So, this post is just me coming out and saying that this is an Official House Rule for All my Games (Fri and Sat) night, and this may affect how you build your Characters.
For those who are new to 4E up until joining my game, this also means that if you join other 4E games, by standard Rules, those bonus Dice damage Should be maximised. Subject to DM's ruling, of course.
